30V is way too high. This would likely permanently damage the device. After that, it shouldn't work at 12V
How do they know that it doesn't start at 12V, what are the symptoms?
Hey Anna,
The product page on ti.com shows that a higher voltage alternative is the OPA990. Please have the customer try with a op that is rated for 30V, like the OPA990.
