OPA211: Can I use OPA211IDGKR in place of OPA211AIDGKR?

Part Number: OPA211

Hi,

I am working with a customer who is looking for OPA211AIDGKR the standard grade of this package, would I be able to recommend OPA211IDGKR instead since the part previously mentioned is out of stock? I saw that this is the high grade of this part and is the same package, but I want to make sure I am recommending something that will work for them in this instance before sending this back.

Thanks,

Sam

  • Hi Sam,

You are correct, the OPA211AIDGKR is the standard grade and OPA211IDGKR is the high-grade on the VSSOP (DGK) 8 package. These devices have the same package and pin out. The difference is in the offset, offset drift and PSRR specifications, where the high-grade offers the tighter spec and higher accuracy. The bandwidth, slew rate and noise performance are identical.

Yes, from the circuit performance perspective, replacing a standard grade device with the high grade will not create any issues, as long as the high-grade cost can be afforded.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
