TRF37D73: schematic check

Hi;

I saw there are some differences between the schematic on datasheet and on the TRF37x73 and TRF37x75 EVM user's guide. in the later, there are two resistors, R1 and R2, in VCC and output inductor;

but there is no those two resistors on the shematic in the TRF37D73 datasheet:

my question is: what function is those two resistors? are they necessary for the TRF37D73?

Hi Donald,

R1 is not required, you could see the same (0hms) on EVM for both TRF37X75 and TRF37X73, I think that was put for some debug purposes on EVM. Coming to R2, this is required to DC Bias the output of TRF37X75(5V supply).

In your case, for TRF37D73(3.3V Supply) you do not need a bias resistor at output. So, you can use either use a 0-ohm resistor at R2 or connect the output inductor(100nH) directly to 3.3V rail.
