Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA138, INA139, INA169, INA168
Hi team,
The output signal of INA183 is voltage, do we have device with current output propotional to sensed voltage?

Hello Nison,
The only pure current-output, current-sense amplifier we have are INA138, INA139, INA168, INA169, and INA171.
The only other alternative to these devices is to configure a voltage output device into a current output using the Howland Current pump architecture specifically with an op amp buffer in the feedback to REF pin. These links below describe how to design these circuits.
Sincerely,
Peter
Hi Peter,
Which one should I choose, INA138 or INA139? What's the design consideration on choosing the device?
Hey Naizeng,
It depends upon what the system requirements and boundary operating conditions are.
You can see a side by side of the device electrical characteristics below. The main differences between INA138 and INA139 are their transconductance, max operating Vcm, IQ, IB, Vos, and output swing to rail.
Sincerely,
Peter
