INA238: Designing with INA238AIDGST

Part Number: INA238

Hello Team,
We are using the IC INA238AIDGSTfor one of our applications to measure the voltage.
The voltage can be up to 48V.
We don't want to measure the current.
So can I left the pins IN- and IN+ pins floating?.
The I2C signals is isolated using a digital isolator.
Do we have any single chip solution with voltage measurement and digital signal isolation?.

  • Hi Sv,

If you are not using the IN+ and IN- pins, it would be best to tie them together and ground them. If you don't have the ability to do that, then leaving them floating should be fine. Unfortunately we do not have a device that has built in digital signal isolation, you would have to use an exterior isolator.

    Best,

    Mohamed
