INA233: Missing first two bytes when I2C Address is h4A

Hello, I have a strange problem with a custom board and a INA233 power monitor. I have eleven monitors on my board and the only one I've a problem with is address h4A. I'm only missing the first 2 bytes when I do a read from the device. What could be the problem? Is there something special about address h4A that may be causing a problem?

Hi Joe,

The address h4A is correlated to addressing to SDA. Connecting to SDA can be problematic sometimes with the timing of the SDA line. It would be good to try connecting that device with an address that uses SDA less, or not at all.

Hello, thank you very much for responding to my post.

I had no problem with the SDA was tied to A0 does that sound strange? Do you know of any problems with A1 is connected to SCL? I can try that pin.

Hi Joe,

It could be just that when both A0 and A1 are connected to SDA, it messes with timing, but with one connection it turns out just fine. Unfortunately I do not have much information on this. Were you able to confirm that it helps?

Yes, you are correct. I chose A1 to be SCL and A0 to be SDA and no problems.
