Hi,

I would like to use the INA233 to monitor Vcc and Icc. The connection is like this.

DC power supply -> Current sense resistor -> LPF -> DUT

The IN+ and IN- pins are tied to the both side of the current sense resistor. The VBUS pin is connected to just beside the Vcc input to the DUT.

Due to the small resistance of LPF, the max IR drop through the LPF is about 100mV.

Therefore, the voltage is VBUS < IN- < IN+.

Can I use in this way?

Hi Miatsu,

The schematic looks fine. However, with the ALERT pin you are attaching a 10kΩ resistor to GND rather than pulling it up. This would render the ALERT pin useless. If you plan on using the ALERT pin, then it would need to be pulled up to 3.3V. If you don't want to use it, then you can attach it directly to GND without the 10kΩ resistor.
