TLV3404: Hysteresis setting

Part Number: TLV3404

Tool/software:

Does the TLV3404 comparator have built in hysteresis? The application schematic in the datasheet does not show the hysteresis resistor.

What is the recommended value of the output pull up resistor and the hysteresis resistor if I am using all 4 comparators in the TLV3404?

Thanks.

  • Hi Gaurav,

The TLV3404 does not have built in hysteresis. There would be specifications for hysteresis in the datasheet as well as 2 curves (V_L and V_H) on the voltage transfer function under applications if there was hysteresis.

Between 10k-20k is a good starting point. The pull up resistor value depends on your pull up voltage and how fast you want the output to be. Since this is a nano power device you want to keep the voltage drop across the resistor in mind, see figures 3,4,5 in the datasheet.
