TRF37C75: How to calculate output power related to TRF37C75 IC

Tool/software:

  1. 1.The three power amplifiers IC's TRF37A75, TRF37B75, TRF37C75, can we cascade these 3 IC's to get 45dBm output power for input -7 dBm   in S band frequency?           2. Is TRF37C75 IC output power capable to feed patch Antenna.                                                                                     3. TRF37A75, TRF37B75, TRF37C75 in which order they can be  cascaded to get maximum power?

    Hi Kavitha,

        TRF37X75 series amplifiers have OP1dB < 19dBm. Please note that TRF37X75 is a gain block not a power amplifier.

    1. Even though you cascade 3 Amps the max output will be <19dBm

    2. It cannot drive the Antenna directly. You need a Power Amplifier at the output of TRF37X75 to drive antenna.

    3 As told above cascading will only help to improve gain but cannot increase max output power.
