The max power and dissipation depends on the Rshunt value you use and the Vshunt input range. For example, if you are using a

• Vshunt range of +/- 40.96mV and a
• Rshunt=20mOhms,
• the max power dissipation = (I_load)^2 x Rshunt = (40.96m/20m)^2 x 20m = 83.9 mW

The max power can also be calculated using the max I_load and max V_shunt (P=V x I )
