INA219: Can we give advise on how many could be practically connect on a single I2C bus

Hello team,

For my customer I got the question, how many INA219 could be practically connected to a single I2C bus.

They are unsure as a design house of them mention it would be wise not to connect more than 4. The other item I don't know is if the use fast or high-speed mode.

The device is capable however in the system more adds to it.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Frank,

The INA219 has 16 unique addresses. so you can theoretically connect up to 16 devices to one I2C bus. However, the limit is determined by the total capacitance of the bus and tolerable timing delays. Please refer to the following links for a more detailed explanation.
