How to setup negative supply?

In the above eval board we can see the use of banana jack connector provision for positive and negative supply for op amp.

But instead of that can you suggest some other options instead of connector provision.

Using +12V, how to give -12V power to op amp in onboard itself?

Thank you for using our EVMs. As in you need another connection to Vs- that is not a banana jack connector labeled J7 on the board, such as a test point? Or you do not have another supply for -12V?

Hi Sima, my question is how to generate -12V in my board, can you share some Texas part number for generating -12V regulator with input voltage of +12V, current rating greater than 1A.

Hello Vishnupriya,

I looked at our LDO regulators, and I believe MC79L or UCC384 could be good choices. There are other high output current regulators that I did not list, but if needed in system you can look at this list linked here.

I am not part of that group, so I am unsure if these are the best products for you. I will move this thread from high speed amplifiers to the LDO group, and they will get back to you shortly with a better suggestion for you.

Hi Vishnupriya,

Please confirm that you have +12V and you wish to generate -12V? If so then this is a switching converter and not a linear regulator. We have many switching converter options and I can redirect you to the correct engineer for further support.

What is the current level? and what is the max VIN the device can support? I understand 12VIn I am guessing this is nominal

Hi Tahar,

We are going to convert from +12V to -12V, current rating 1A or greater. Maximum Vin can be of any value higher than 12V.
