Tool/software:
This query is not just for the mentioned part number but for TI IC's. I see that the formula to calculate SFF is SFF= (λs+λdd) / (λs+λd).
This includes:
Fail Dangerous Detected
Fail Dangerous Undetected
Fail Safe Detected
Fail Safe Undetected
No Effect Failure
Does TI or any IC/ component manufacturer provide FIT data for each of these scenarios? Is it possible for TI to provide SFF ratings for the specified PN in the query or OPA2322AIDGKR ?
Hello Avpreet,
I an not aware of such data. The data that is available starts here by picking full part number
https://www.ti.com/product/LMP7732#order-quality
Then click on quality link for chosen full part number, example result link below.
https://www.ti.com/quality-reliability-packaging-download/report?opn=LMP7732MAX/NOPB
Do you happen to know someone who's worked on reliability ? I'm trying to understand if SFF (Safety Failure Fraction) is something that the product designer has to assign or is this something that comes from the manufacturer ?
Avpreet,
Only automotive and above would have data like this. Even for auto I don't think it is broken down at that level.
