Could you please elaborate on how to interpret the graph below?

Is it correct to assume that the maximum output source current at room temperature is about 27mA when VS=5V and maximum swing?

Why are the graphs in the upper and lower areas different?

At 25 °C, a typical device will be able to sink 27 mA, if the output voltage is more than 2 V (and only 12 mA when sourcing current).

If you need to go nearer to the supply rails, the output current must be smaller.
