TRF37D73: Extremely high power consumption.

Hello!

We have a mature design containing the TRF37D73.

Recently we realised that on some boards current, consumed by the TRF37D73, is extremely high - up to 350mA.

The amplifier at this state is operational, but the PWDN input does not control the amplifier behaviour.

Supply voltage and input signal strength (power) are within the datasheet specifications.

Was such issue reported previously?

What could cause it?

Hi Fedor Beav,

Have you tried swapping the TRF37D73 device on boards that having this issue? Can you share the schematic of the design? We have not seen any such issue reported earlier.

Thank you for the response.

The issue was caused by a board manufacturing problem.

After correction the TRF37D73 works flawlessly.
