TRF37C75: Searching the proper RF gain amp device

Part Number: TRF37C75

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

I am searching a proper RF gain amp device referring to a below system diagram.

The puepose of this system is to generate heat at the end of this application.

Therefore, the important key features are P1dB and gain.

I found only TRF37C75 on ti.com, so could you recommend an additional proper device to suggest?

Thanks,

Taemin.

  • Hi there Taemin,

Currently the TRF37xx series of devices is our only lineup of single ended gain blocks. The TRF37C75 device has a P1dB of 19.5 dBm at 2 GHz. Operating the device at 18 dBm is very close to P1dB and will result in a lot of harmonics that will need to be aggressively filtered in order to avoid spurious emissions from the antenna. A filter with the required stopband loss may be difficult to design with only 1.5 dB of insertion loss in the passband (to ensure 18 dBm at the output). Unfortunately this is the best choice TI offers for your application, we dont have any higher power alternative gain blocks at the moment.

    Thanks,
    Gideon

  • Hi Gideon,
