Hi team,
I plan to use INA849 to replace AD8421. But gain setting is different with AD8421.
Do you have better suggestion? thanks

Hi Jimmy,
We do not have an instrumentation amp that has a gain equation that matches the AD8421. The closest one is the INA217, but it does not have the same pinout. Could you clarify why the replacement needs to have the same gain setting resistor?

Ashley
Hi Ashley,
Due to I want to gain share more biz from customer. so need to bom to bom. thanks
Hi Jimmy,
Let me clarify my question - what limitations does the customer have with switching the part with the AD8421? We offer many alternative pin-to-pin devices for the AD8421 and the only BOM change the customer would need to make is one resistor (RG) to match the gain they had previously.
If they can provide some application information, we would be happy to help provide some alternative solutions that can fit their needs.
Thank you!
Regards,
Ashley
Hi Ashley,
Customers have used the AD8421 to design1 that we find the opp. so we promote INA849 for them.
But unfortunately, if want to share, there will be two BOMs.
the application is current sensing measurement
Hi Jimmy,
Unfortunately, we do not have a direct replacement that allows the same BOM as the AD8421 design. If you have the existing solution (gain setting application information), we can provide information on which resistor options they can use with the INA849 instead.

Ashley
