For Fig. 7-11:

1. Is the “Gain” in green circle Vo/Vi, and is the “Gain(dB)” in red circle 20log(Vo/Vi)?

2. What does “Gain = -1” mean? And why Gain(dB)=0 @ Gain=-1?

Hello Leo,

Red circle gain is recorded actual gain, Vo/Vin dB. Green circuit is programmed (by feedback resistors) in V/V.

It means inverting amplifier setup; Rfeedback = Rinput.

Gain of 1 is 0dB output phase same as input phase.

Gain of -1 is 0dB output phase inverted form input phase.
