TRF37C73: 20dBm output

Part Number: TRF37C73
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC3482, THS9000, THS9001

Dear Technical Support Team,

I'm looking for OP1dB=20dBm(max) output with RF AMP such as Gali-84+(Mini-circuits).

TRF37C73 is 16.5 dBm (max).

Do you have any recommend RF AMP?

My configuration is below.

Max Power output: 20 dBm (6.325Vpp)

Frequency: 30MHz(min)  and 250MHz(Max)

Input Voltage: 1Vpp form DAC3482(IOUTP/N → I/V →Transformer(1:1 , Differential to SingleEnd, 1Vpp max )→RF AMP→ 20 dBm (6.325Vpp) 50Ω load)

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hi Team,

Do you have any update so far?

    It seems that THS9000 and THS9001 are 20dBm(typ), but Frequency(min) is 50MHz.

We actually need about 26 dBm to account for cable loss. As it stands, it appears that TI does not have a suitable product for this requirement.

Please let me know if my understanding is incorrect.

Incidentally, since RF amplifiers like the THS9000 have a 50Ω impedance output, I don't think a 50Ω series resistor is necessary. However, if the connected terminal is terminated (for example, if terminated with 50Ω on an oscilloscope, it becomes a 50Ω pull-down), does the voltage level then halve? Or is that also taken into account?

    Best Regards,
