I would like to ask if there is a link or a site on your website that stores simulation files like ibis or spice etc of each component.

Initially I would like to ask for ibis file of BUF634U (buffer), I will use it as part of my board simulation.

Your response will be a big help to me, thanks

However, it does not look like there is an IBIS model for the BUF634.

Also May I know what and where is BSDL files used, is it similar with IBIS files.?

With regards to BUF634 I found a spice model on your website (http://www.ti.com/product/buf634)

I would like to ask if I can use "BUF634 TINA-TI Reference Design (Rev. C)" for my simulation

I found three model files there, Are all of those files can be use for simulation? Can you advise what would be the appropriate file that I can use on my board simulation

1) BUF634 PSpice Model (REV B)

2) BUF634 TINA-TI Reference Design (Rev. C)

3) BUF634 TINA-TI Spice Model (Rev. B)

Hello Ryan,

BSDL simulation files are used with Altera (http://www.altera.com/download/board-layout-test/bsdl/bsdl.html). They are very similar to IBIS models in that they provide the input output buffer characteristics, specifically the I/O pin I-V and V-T characteristics which is good for simulating digital interfaces.

The SPICE and TINA-TI models available on the BUF634 product page are designed more to simulate the performance of the device itself. Things like transient response, AC response, and noise analysis of the IC are typically included in these models.

Depending on what you are trying to model, the SPICE or TINA-TI models are probably going to be your best bet.

TINA-TI is freeware available on the web. You can download the latest version and find out more at: www.ti.com/tina-ti
