Differential amplifier

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA2331, INA2321, INA146, INA145

Hi,

I am looking for Differential Amp with high gain of up to 100 V\V.

The input signal is around 1mV. I want also that if the diffrence is negative it will be gained on the output.

Very important is Very low power, 2 channels.

Can someone help?

Tnx.

  • Hi,

A low-power instrumentation amplifier such as the INA2322 might satisfy your requirements. It is a dual instrumentation amplifier that is gain set via an external resistor for gains from 5 V/V to 1000 V/V. The quiescent current is 40 uA/ channel and each channel has a shutdown pin so the current can be reduces to very low levels when the amplifiers don't need to be active.

There are two other similar instrumentation amplifiers, the INA2321 and INA2331, that provide different levels of dc-ac performance - but they are higher current devices. You would need to decide which one best meets all your application requirements.

  • Hello 1886332,

The INA145 and INA146 are our only difference amplifiers that can have gains of up to 100V/V. These devices have a difference amplifier for the input stage and an integrated op amp that you can use to buffer/gain your signal. The input offset voltages, however, are 1mV and 5mV respectively.

Therefore you may be interested in a fixed-gain current-shunt monitors such as the INA214B. It is a bi-directional device, which will allow you to sense current in both directions (or a 'negative difference'). Please review the section in the data sheet entitled 'Bi-directional Operation'. It can operate on a supply of 2.7V and draws a maximum Iq of 115uA over temperature under the conditions listed in the data sheet. It does not come in a dual package. The packages, however, are very small (QFN-10 and SC70-6).
