VFC 110 in V to F mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: VFC110

Dear All

Currently i am working on VFC 110 in V to  mode. I have gone through the datasheet as weel as appication mode but unable to find equation for F out in V to F mode.

Please help me if anyone worked on this.

Regards.

  • Shailesh,

The VFC110 is an older device and the data sheet information is not so complete. Understand that the values for Rin and Cos values are the same for F/V mode as V/F mode and apply a 10V output in F/V mode. The circuit position of Rin is, of course, different in F/V mode. The values depend on the full scale frequency and can be read from table I on page 6. You can also read Cos values from the graph in the upper-left of page 4 assuming an Rin of 40k ohm. Full scale is 10V out for the given full-scale input frequency.

Output voltage can be reduced proportionally by proportionally reducing the value of Rin.

If you can provide details on your required full-scale input frequency and output voltage I may be able to provide more detailed recommendations.

    Regards, Bruce.
