The scale of Vout(V) of Figure 17. of the data sheet of INA270/271 is mentioned with  following (a).

As for the scale of Vout(V), which of (a) or (b) is right?

(a) 0,   0.2,   0.4,  0.6,   0.8,  1.0  ....... 2.0
(b) 0, 0.04, 0.08, 0.12, 0.16, 0.20 ....... 0.40

I think that (b) is right.


In addition, the scale of Vout(V) of Figure 18. of the data sheet of INA270/271 is mentioned with following (c).

As for the scale of Vout(V), which of (c) or (d) is right?

(c) 0, 0.04, 0.08, 0.12, 0.16, 0.20 ....... 0.40, 0.48, 0.48
(d) 0, 0.04, 0.08, 0.12, 0.16, 0.20 ....... 0.40, 0.44, 0.48

I think that (d) is right.

  • Your comments are correct as shown above.  The INA270/1 has the same core as the INA19X family of devices which is where figure 17 originated from.  Figure 17 appears as though is was just copied into the INA270/1 datasheet without adjusting the y-axis to account for the different gain present in the INA271 device.  Your scale you have listed would be correct given the gain of 20 for the INA271.  Figure 18 was adjusted to take into account the gain of the INA271 but there is a typographical error in the scale as you have observed.  The lower 0.48V level should read 0.44V.  I will pass these edits along to our graphical team so they can be applied to the datasheet.

  • These datasheet corrections were submitted into the queue for edits to this datahseet back in February when the customer identified the error in the scale of that particular figure.  I will contact the group here that handles updates to the datasheets to check on the status of this correction.
