Why would a THS6204 configured exactly per figure 81 of the data sheet draw 100mA from +12V and -100mA from -12V with a 2V p-p 1MHz input?

Why would a THS6204 configured exactly per figure 81 of the data sheet draw 100mA from +12V and -100mA from -12V with a 2V p-p 1MHz input?
I should also ask how you are diving the amplifier, are you using a balun? Is any part of the input, load or measurement circuit grounded?
What is the current with no input signal? What are the DC voltages of the circuit with no signal applied?
Also, the gain in that circuit is 10. The dashes should be equal signs. so: Gain = 1+ (2xRf)/Rg = Vo/Vi
A 2Vpp input (differential or single ended?) will be a 20Vpp out.
