Hello Sho,

Continuous means that the device can provide short circuit current continuously without damaging the device. However, you need to make sure that the device does not exceed the transistor junction temperature will providing short circuit current.

A calculation of the transistor junction temperature is shown in Part 2 of the blog that Deepak recommended.
