INA321: Range of Negative Power Supply

Part Number: INA321

I would like to know to what range of negative supply voltage can I give to INA321.

In the datasheet it is given that it works for bipolar supply but no where it is mentioned that what range of negative supply has to be used.

Please help me out with this.

    Hi Umama,

    Any single supply op-amp can actually be used in dual supply configuration. To determine what range of voltages you can have on the rails you have to look at the Operating Voltage Range spec in the Power Supply section of the electrical characteristics. For the INA321, the operating voltage range is 2.5V to 5.5V. This spec describes the acceptable range of supply voltages from V+ to V-, or in other words, Vs = (V+) - (V-). For example, if you used 1.25V supplies for both rails, Vs = 1.25 - (-1.25) = 2.5V and that would be the lower limit for your supply rails. Continuing that logic, the operating range for this device in dual supply is then +/-1.25V to +/-2.75V.
