SN10503: Using with low gain

Part Number: SN10503
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4221, TINA-TI,

I want build a gain stage with v=-.025. In the datsheet is given a specification  "Acl, min spec gain (V/V) = 1". Means this that it is not possible to use as inverter with this gain?

With best regards

Bernhard

  • Hi Bernhard,

No. You could use the SN10503 device to build a gain stage with Av = -0.025V/V using noise gain compensation. The statement "Acl, min spec gain (V/V) = 1" only means that the device is compensated internally to be unity gain stable. I have attached a TINA-TI schematic that you could use for Av = -0.025V/V using the THS4221. The THS4221 is a very similar device to the SN10503, except for a few spec changes. So, the below schematic should be applicable to the SN10503 as well.
