OPA379: OPA379

Part Number: OPA379
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA348, OPA314

We are interested to use either OPA379, OPA348 or OPA314 in a battery operated device

Is there any information with respect to distortion 2nd, 3rd harmonics, THD and IM and how to minimize it.

We are operating these devices at frequencies up to 400KHz

Thanks for the help

  • Hello Jan,

The OPA379 has a GBW of 90 kHz and it will not work in your 400 KHz application. The answer to your questions regarding OPA348 and OPA314 will be provided shortly. Thank you for selection TI op amps!

    Best regards
  • Bahram,

I checked and here are some more details.
There are two systems under investigation, one between 3.75 and 7.5KHz and one between 50 and 60KHz.
The chosen opamps are for the following frequency ranges

    OPA379 3.75 - 7.5kHz
    OPA314 50 - 60 kHz
    OPA348 3.75 – 7.5 kHz or 50-60kHz

  • Hello Jan,
Thanks for the information! The GPA team is handling your question regarding OPA314 and OPA348.
Regarding OPA 379; as of now I do not have any data on the THD and the IMD performance of the device to share with you. Can you please let me know what application the part is being considered (used) for?

    Best regards,
