customer ask for PSPICE model for the LMV722.

    Hi Holger,

    Unfortunately there isn't a model available for this part. What type of simulation are they performing? If they'd like some DC analysis, then we could try to find a similar device model for their testing - TLV9062, OPA316 might both be candidates.

    Is this a part that the customer is already using? What specs are most important to them in their application? Maybe we can have them design with a different part that is more modern and has a model.

    Hello,
    customer want to execute a transient analysis for signal with with 166,66KHz. A DC simulation is not sufficient.
    Here the OPAmp requirements:

    • 2 Channel
    • Supply Voltage max. >= 36 V
    • Rail to Rail  (In to V- and Out)
    • Slew rate >= 1.5 V/µs
    • Iq ~ 1-2 mA (min.)
    • Operating Temperature -10°C – 60°C

    Thanks for providing the detailed requirements. I'm a little confused because the LMV722 is only a 5V part but your reply mentions needing a part that can handle a 36V supply. Let me know if the customer truly needs 36V - that spec will open or close some options for us.

    Going off the list you provided, the part that I would recommend is the TLV2172 or OPA2172 - they meet all the requirements that you listed. For modeling, use the TLV2172 model - it is on the newer architecture and will appropriately model either device.

    Hi Holger,

    I was reminded by a colleague that you can use the model for the LMV721-N: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware, which is the single channel version of the device you're looking at. For typical specs and performance, the LMV722-N and LMV722 can be considered interchangeable.
