OPA361: Schematic review

Part Number: OPA361

Hello Team

Could you help review the schematic about OPA361?

  • Hi Xiao,

Some comments/questions to better understand the OPA361 use case.
    1. What is the video standard you are using the OPA361 for? The OPA361 can only support CVBS video signals.
    2. Looking at the schematic, there is not really a need for the C40 capacitor because the OPA361 already has an integrated 2-pole low pass filter.
    3. Is there any chance that the input signal contains sync that goes below 0V? Please note that the OPA361 is only recommended for video DACs who can output sync signal close to 0V. Otherwise, the device outputs will saturate or clip and degrade the signal quality.
    4. Is there a reason for choosing 500-ohm termination at the input? Usually for video signals, it is recommended to use 75-ohm termination at the input.

Otherwise, I think the schematic looks good.

    Best Regards,
    Rohit
