TL074B: TL074BCNE3 versus E4

Hello we have recently bought TL074BCNE4 from TI and we've bought in the past TL074BCNE3. Both parts measure within TI dimensions/specs but appearance is slightly different. Does this mean they were made in different plants?

In short, the E3 and E4 designations simply reflect a slight change in the packaging process. There is no impact on performance of the part.

Is it normal for one version to be slightly bigger in dimensions than the other, even though its within TI specs ? Are they made in different plants ?

As long as the device is within the TI spec, then everything is okay. I can't comment on whether all E3 devices will be slightly dimensionally different than E4 devices, or if they are made in different plants, I don't have that data. It is possible that with the packaging changes that the dimensions changed a bit, but that would just be speculation.
