Hi,

we are designing a new electronic card on the previous electronic card design we used the INA111AP now we want to use the INA111AU (surface-mount package).

in the datasheet application (see please figure 8 bellow) on the surface mount application it is recommended to use equal resistance my question is:

what is the purpose of this resistance
what are the values of the resistors

Hi Sammy,

Thank you for your post. The resistors are not actual discrete values but instead represent the parasitic wire or trace resistance on a remote load/remote ground sense connection, where it is desired to use matched length wire/trace connections on the reference and feedback connections, to match the resistance of the connections.

Hi Tamara,

thank you Tamara for your reply. in this case will it be better to use INA 111 AP in dip case may be there according to the datasheet no need for matched length wire/trace connection?

Hello Sammy,

That is correct. The matched resistance is specific to the SON package.
