One of my customers is considering using THS4052 for their next products.

They want to know how much the device settling time in their assuming condition by TINA-TI.

Could you please tell me how to simulate settling time of THS4052 by TINA-TI?

Hello Kazuya,

You can input a step function as the input to your amplifier and see how quickly the output settles. If you know what your rise time will be, you can also input a square wave with the same rise time to see how the amplifier will react.

Working on this issue in an article right now for Nov. Not sure how well the models handle this, but if your step puts the output into slew limiting, the physical device will have a much long settling time than if you can stay out of slew limits - sometimes that means you slow the input edge down to stay out of slewing.
