TLV3201: Do we have exact same function and P2P solution

Part Number: TLV3201
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV3501

Hi team,

May I know if TLV3201 is exact function with TS3011(SC70-5 package)?

Or could you recommend which part is fully same function with TS3011 and propagation delay is similar with TS3011 as well?

https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/ts3011.pdf

Thank you

  • Hello,

The TLV3201 is pin to pin with the TS3011, however the propagation delay is slower. The TLV3201 has about 40ns of propagation delay (20mV overdrive, 15pF load) compared to 12ns for the TS3011 (15mV overdrive, 12pF load).

An important distinction between these two devices however is power. The TLV3201 has a typical Iq of 40uA, whereas the TS3011 has an Iq of 650uA. If the application for this comparator requires a balance of low power and high speed, the TLV3201 would be a better option. However if your key care about is speed, then the TS3011 would be the better solution for a SC-70 package.

An alternative option would be the TLV3501. It is our high speed comparator with 4.5 ns propagation delay, however the package comes in SOT-23-6 with an additional shutdown pin.

    Regards,

    Jonny
