Ambient LIght Removal from Amplifier.

Hi Team,

I am using Photodiode as an input to the Amplifier and getting some voltage at the output.

Photodiode also senses Ambient Light in the surrounding which adds additional current to the input. I want to remove it directly from the input.

My light will be blinking at fix baud rate of 9600( 10 KHz ) and dont want any other light to be detected.

Can you suggest which additional passive components can help to remove ambient light.

Hello Hardik,

I don't know of a passive electronic component that will provide the ambient light filtering function. However, there may be an active component solution that meets your needs. For example, see the following e2e post from a few years back:

Bruce mentions at one point, "The two-op-amp loop to remove the constant light component would seem to make sense in your application." This solution would have to be evaluated under your particular ambient light conditions to make sure it provides suitable performance.
