XTR305: Switching mode

Part Number: XTR305

Hi,

XTR305 has voltage output mode and current output mode.

Is to switch these mode assumed during working?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuromichi,

The XTR305 supports voltage output mode and current output voltage mode, and can be configured externally by setting the M1/M2 pins and configuring all the external circuit as shown on Figure 35 (voltage output mode) or configuring the external circuit as shown on Figure 36 (current output mode).

In the typical application, the user will configure the device in the proper external circuit configuration first, then power up the supplies and then enable the output the device by setting OD pin high.  To avoid/minimizes glitches during power-on and changing of the circuit configuration, it is recommended to disable the output of the device by setting OD low, power off the circuit, change the circuit configuration, and power on the device and enable the output after supplies are settled by setting the OD pin high after the configuration has changed and supplies are settled. The output disable control (OD) helps suppress glitches during power on/off and changing the circuit configuration. Please refer to section 7.3.4 of the XTR305 datasheet.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
