TLV7041: Expected drains at 5V and 3-4V

Hi,

I’m using a couple of TLV7041 comparators for different functions.  Using one at 5V and other at 3-4V, what would I expect the drain to be? The 7041 output is an input to another chip in both circuits, static signals. Does it make a difference whether it is driving high or low for long periods of time?  Would it be high or lower for the 7031?  Running on battery power, need to know how squeeze out as much as possible.

    Are you referring to source/sink current on the output? We would need to know your output resistance to calculate this. Typically, open drain outputs consume more power because of its pull up resistor.

    Push pull devices also have faster edges because of the lack of a pullup resistor. Unless you need to level shift the outputs on your device, I would recommend using TLV7031.
