Hi Cooper,

I recommend taking a look at the OPA2991. The OPA2991 will have a higher output current capability than the LM8261, can operate on a single supply, and has a 21V/us slew rate.

Hi Cooper,

Yes, the LM8261 can operate on a single 5V supply. Really any op amp can operate on single supply you just need to watch the common mode voltage of the amplifier when doing so.

While the LM8261 can operate on single supply we have much newer and better amplifiers available like the OPA991 (single channel variant of the OPA2991). The LM8261 was released 21 years ago and has a 1ku price of $0.964. The OPA991 was released in 2019 and has a 1ku price of $0.384 and has better performance.
