LM6171: Spice model slows down speed of simulations

Hi Team,

my customer reported that the spice model of LM6171 slowed down his simulation speed significantly.

Would you have a more simplified version of the LM6171 model?
If this is not available, any suggestions on how to improve the simulation speed?

We don't have another version of the model.. can you clarify what type of sim the customer is trying to implement here?

Hi Hasan,

Its just a time domain simulation, using LM6171 in a feedback control loop.

Hi Stefan,

the simulation speed can heavily slow down when the simulation enters regions of abnormal operation. This can be the exceeding of common mode input voltage range or the leaving of linear output voltage range when going into output saturation or when the phase margin is eroded and the circuit becomes instable, to name only some of these conditions.

You might want to post the simulation file here :-)
