Terminating unused darlington buffer in LM13700?

I'm using the OTA sections of an LM13700 but not the internal darlington buffer. I'm replacing the buffer with an external op amp. Should I let the base float , tie it to the lowest potential of the circuit, etc.?

    Hello Lee,

    You can just let them float. They are just two darlington-conected transistors - if no current flows through them, then they will not do anything.

    If you are really worried about them and insist on doing something with the pins, then tie all the unused buffer pins to V+. At minimum, tie the base to the emitter to make sure they do not ever turn on.
