INA180: Power sequence

Part Number: INA180

Hi team,

I received a question about the INA180 power sequence.

Is it ok to apply a voltage to IN+ and IN- before rising up Vs?

The d/s states that "the common-mode range is not restricted by the power-supply voltage (VS) as long as VS stays within the operational range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V" in the section of 9.3.2 Wide Input Common-Mode Voltage Range. Is it acceptable to apply a voltage to IN+ and IN- when Vs is below 2.7V?

9.3.2 Wide Input Common-Mode Voltage Range

The INAx180 support input common-mode voltages from –0.2 V to +26 V. Because of the internal topology, the common-mode range is not restricted by the power-supply voltage (VS) as long as VS stays within the operational range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V.

Regards,

Yamaguchi
