A question with amplifier symbol

Hello,

I have a question on electronic symbol.

I encountered the symbol show above, which I have no suspicion that it should be a differential amplifer.

However, what does the wavy symbol in the middle mean? Could anyone help on this?

Zheng,

The wavy symbol is indicating of hysteresys. You find that symbol normally associated with Schmitt triggers.
