rfengr,
Sorry you have troubles with importing model. What you show looks like major issue, but is probably not. I am not a Multisim expert, but I found a free version on the web and was able to import the OPA836 (same model as the OPA2836) and it appears to function reasonably. I took a short cut an copied another 6-pin op amp frome the DB and inserted the OPA836 model from a file. Maybe this is what you did as well. I got no errors, but the first time through the component did not simulate properly. Then I saw the pin numbers were off; so I swapped the power pin numbers and it worked fine. So I don't think there is a syntax problem. Use the import utility, an existing part, and check to see the pin numbers line up with the first line of the ".SUBCKT" statement. In this case .SUBCKT OPA836 INP INN VCC VEE OUT PD should match with INP(1) INN(2) VCC(3) VEE(4) OUT(5) PD(6) .
Like I say I am not a Multisim expert, and I am not sure how it works the data base and modifcations to model like I have done, but Tina from TI embeds everthing in the file and seems to work seemlesly for me on my computer. So I attach the model and sim circuit that I got to work. If you continue to have problems, it is best to contact Multisim or you can use the free TI Tina simulator.

Thank you Jim,
I finally figured it out. After looking at your circuit, I realized there was no difference in either of our spice-model. Apparently I was doing something wrong when I was importing the model. When I chose an existing package-model from the DB, it was generating the errors. When I didn't choose an existing one, it worked, but I had to hand draw the model-shape. Weird ..
Anyways, after experimenting with both softwares (TINA and Multisim). I sort of enjoyed the simplicity of TINA, and decided to stick with it.
I think its great having both though.
Thanks again for your help!
