Tone Stack for Guitar Amplifier/Pre-Amp

I'm looking for a front end pre-amp for a guitar and wondered if the application: "Tone Stack forGuitar Amplifier"s first op-amp section would do the trick without the second op-amp which involves the filtering. Possibly follow the first op-amps output with a 10uF cap. and resistor to ground then on to my main amplifier section.

Also, what is the designation of that last resistor with the abbreviation "DNP"?

I think you're referring to Figure A-1 from Tone Stack for Guitar Amplifier Reference Design right?

The resistor at the output is 100k. It should be as shown in Figure 7 from the same document.

Yes Ivan, thank you, that's the resistor. The .PDF link is a different application sheet than what I was looking at (TIPD186) and did not have all of that information/breakdown of the circuit.-Keith
