TLV320ADC6140: sampling frequency

Part Number: TLV320ADC6140

Dear Team,

Can this device use a sampling frequency of 10.24khZ or 12.8KHz in slave mode?

Best Regards,

  • Hi Tetsuji,

The ADC6140 cannot natively support this sample rate. I will check to see if there are settings that would allow us to support this rate.

    Zak

  • Hi Zak
    thank you for answering

There are some other sampling rates you want to use.
How can I find the sample rate that is not available in the sample rate range from 7.35KHz to 768KHz?

    Best Regards,

  • Hey Tetsuji,

The supported sample rates are shown in tables 6 and 7 in the datasheet. Sample rates that fall between respective 44.1kH and 48kHz multiples/submultiples would also work without issue. For example, 92kHz would work fine because it falls between 88.2kHz and 96kHz. It is sometimes possible to configure internal parameters of the device to support sample rates outside of what is shown in the tables, but there are issues doing this and it takes time to review that the configuration is stable.

    Zak

  • Hi Zak

The following sample frequencies must be supported, but not at sample rates between 44.1kH and 48kHz multiples / submultiples, respectively.

Although these are within ± 10% of their sample rate. Is this an unusable sample frequency?

    ・ 26.2144KHz
    ・ 32.768KHz
    ・ 40.96KHz
    ・ 51.2KHz
    ・ 81.92KHz
    ・ 102.4KHz

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Tetsuji,

These sample rates will not be supported by this device. I would recommend you use a precision delta sigma converter rather than an audio device for these rates.

    Best,

    Zak
