TAS5825MEVM-SB: Is a USB to I2C interface all that's required to configure using PPC3?

you can connect TAS3251 with external USB to i2c adapter, but PPC3 maybe not work for setting online.

you can dump out the setting from PPC3 and write i2c code to TAS3251 with other i2c tool.

Is there a way to use these amplifiers without the need for programming them?  i.e. in a self boot mode?

No, even though you don't use the module in the DSP, you still need to use i2c to config.

it doesn't have the mode that don't need the programming.

so I still need to use I2C to configure the amplifier, that's understood.  But, do I need the module to do that?  Isn't it just sending I2C commands to the amplifier chip?  

Does the amplifier store the settings internally?  Or do I need an external EEPROM to recall settings at boot up?

tas3251 can not store the setting.

if you want self boot automatically, external module is necessary.
