TAS5751M: PPC3 In-System Tuning I2C address

Part Number: TAS5751M

Hello,

Our customer tris to run PPC3 "In-System Tuning" mode by connecting I2C from EVM to our ES board.

On their ES board, TAS5751M I2C address is set to 0x54 pulldown 19pin.

But it is not work well, because it seems PPC3 I2C address setting is 0x56 pullup 19pin as TAS5751 on the EVM.

How can we change PPC3 default I2C address to 0x54?

Is there any document of "PPC3 In-System Tuning" operation manual?

Regards,

Mochizuki

  • Hi Mochizuki.

How can we change PPC3 default I2C address to 0x54?

You can change the I2C address to 0x54 in "In-System Tuning" of "End system integration".

Is there any document of "PPC3 In-System Tuning" operation manual?

As I know, we don't have such document.

  • Hi Wei,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Here is the customer’s situation now.

Set stereo device I2C address to 0x54.

Connect I2C bus to ES board TAS5751M, Start Tuning and Audio Processing on PPC3.

    Then D-amp output is stopped.

Another trial is that, after Start Tuning and Audio Processing, then connect I2C bus to ES board TAS5751M.

In this case, PPC3 can control EQs on ES board TAS5751M.

It seems something initializing data is sent, right after Starting Tuning and Audio Processing.

Can we see what type of initializing data is sent and how can we modify it?

    Regards,

    Mochizuki

  • Hi Mochizuki.

You can use the function of "I2C Log Monitor" to record front-end operation in GUI.
