I'm running windows 10 and trying to connect to my DRV2700EVM-HV500 but the device is not recognized by piezo control console. When I try to follow the firmware update/scan device procedure the board doesn't show up, I just get the message "No BSL device found." What steps can I take to try and connect to my board?

Hi James,
Just to confirm, you have both JP4 and JP2 on the EVM set to power the PSM and DRV devices from USB?
and you are holding the BSL button and then plugging the EVM into the PC? are any other EVMs connected to the same PC?
Regards,
Arthur
Yes, they're both set to usb and I push the BSL button when I plug in the EVM before performing the hardware scan. No other EVMs are connected.

HI James,
Do you see a Green LED illuminate when the USB is plugged in? Do you see any LED illuminate when you press the "TRIG" Button? - I want to check if the MSP430 is alive and has the default firmware on it
Can you try on a separate USB Port?
Regards,
Arthur
Also please double check the Jumper settings for the Power supplies. they will be in different positions, one near the 'top' of the board and the other near the 'bottom'
Regards,
Arthur
There is a green LED on anytime it's plugged in but no LED comes on when I press the trig button. None of the USB ports on my computer work.
Hi James,
I suspect that the MSP430 on your board may be dead. If all the jumper settings for the supply voltages are correct and you are holding the BSL button when you plug in the EVM and you can still not see the BSL device.
Please submit a support ticket to get a replacement EVM https://support.ti.com/csm/
