In the design, the MCLK is not used. So, how the MCLK pin is connected?
Can it be connected to the ground or floating?
Can it be connected to the Capacitance to ground as shown in the picture?

The MCLK seems quite essential for this device. What is the mode and clock frequency are we using? Are we sure that needn't to use MCLK?

In the customer's design, TAS5731M is used as a slave device. In this case, can BCLK be used as the clock source?

The datasheet sates there's internal clock, could be used during MCLK missing. But sadly there's too little information about it, and I can't be sure if all the function could be supported on this internal clock.
So I strongly suggested give a suitable MCLK for your using, choosing according to below table.
