TPA2038D1: Debugging problem feedback

Part Number: TPA2038D1

Hi,

I have a customer debugging TPA2038D1, 5v power supply, driving the 4Ω horn, the output power can be normal. When driving the 8Ω horn, the output power is very low, please help to look at the problem.   Details are attached.

Many thanks~

  • Hi Rhea,

can the customer please compare the output voltage waveforms through a 1kOhm 4700pF lowpass filter and look at the voltage?

I suspect that if the only difference is the horn then the output voltage will be the same, they may need to increase the gain further to match the output power.

it is good to keep in mind that some speakers can be more efficient than others, and may be able to deliver similar SPL at a lower power.

    Regards,
    Arthur
